Craftsvilla embraced with enthusiasm in the North East

Craftsvilla, India’s one stop destination for everything ethnic has always seen great response from all across India in the ethnic wear category. But the recently ended mass communication campaign saw a tremendous increase in interest and orders from the North East Indian states. The states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura have more than doubled after the recent campaign “Latest se latest ethnic fashion”.

The North East of India is known to be fashion forward with an inclination towards western fashion. While ethnic wear from this region like mekhela chador of Assam are widely popular, categories like salwar suits, anarkalis and lehengas haven’t scored very high on the popularity chart. However, with the increased awareness about ethnic wear and the availability of contemporary designs in ethnic wear, north easterners seem to have embraced these styles with open arms. The results of the recent campaign have displayed an increase in the number of orders per day from the north eastern territories. Orders per day of Western and Northern Tripura has increased four times whereas orders from East Sikkim has increased ten times. Sarees topped the chart with more than 33% of total sales in Sikkim and 35% of total sales in Tripura coming from this nine yards of wonder. This was followed by salwar suits and then lehengas. The recently ended festive sale events also received a great response coming from the north east region.

Craftsvilla offers a plethora of ethnic collections leaving the consumers spoilt with the choice. In addition to the traditional wear, one can also find a wide variety of fusion wear, kurtis, palazzos, skirts, jewelry, accessories and home décor on the platform.
