Also the special facilities available at the hospital and quotable services provided have been detailed out along with some really telling pictures.
Ms Sharmishtha Sharma, the author of the book and Associate Editor, i next, shares other interesting features of the book. “The Real Saviours’ also takes the readers to ancient India, known for its alternative treatment options such as Yoga and Ayurveda, traversed the entire development and growth paths to touch upon modern medicine modes. We have also talked about how Medical Tourism has come to stay. With the ancient principles that stayed intact, the combined look and feel of the Indian medical scenario gives an upbeat feel with unending possibilities and automatically makes the country a destination for people seeking to heal themselves.”
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Vijay Sampla termed the doctors as a bridge between the humans and God. He also felt the need for social upliftment of the people for them to adopt good health practices. “There are people in this profession who are there for making money only. This brings a bad name to the medical practice and the practitioners. But most of them, including the distinguished doctors featured in the book are truly the real saviours and are the pious bridge between divinity and humanity. The real impact, however will come when we are able to spread a word about the importance of hygiene and health. For this all of us, including citizens, government, doctors and media should join hands for the betterment of the people who don’t have much resources by promoting and extending affordable medical facilities to them.”
Poonam Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh lauded the efforts of Jagran Prakashan Limited in brining this issue to the fore, by felicitating doctors who have done tremendous work in this field.
