Q) It’s been the third year of your association with Stardust Awards. Why did you choose Stardust again?

Sansui Colors Stardust Awards has created its own benchmark and standards. Regarded as the most credible Awards, Sansui Colors Stardust Awards has been an electrifying and thrilling experience for everyone.  We were elated to know that Sansui Colors Stardust Awards topped the TRP charts last year. There was also a sense of achievement to know that we were far ahead of others. It’s been two years in a row that Sansui Colors Stardust Awards has topped the TRP charts. This year again we are all geared up to raise the bar of entertainment to the next level. Consistency helps better brand recall. In sometime, Sansui Colors Stardust Awards will become generic to film awards and synonyms with entertainment. The night will witness the presence of the biggest faces from the film industry. Also, Sansui will be unveiling a revolutionary technology this year during the Awards. All I can say is prepare to witness the greatest show of the Bollywood fraternity.

Q) How did the association start? And how is it proceeding?

Over the years Stardust Awards has created a distinct space for itself by rendering quality entertainment and content. It has encouraged new talent along with appreciating the performances of superstars. There is no brand that better exemplifies quality entertainment than Sansui, the leading Japanese consumer electronics brand in India, which has reached out to millions of consumers across the globe with their technologically advanced televisions, which add to the complete entertainment experience. This common vision of promoting excellence in entertainment brought Sansui and Stardust together in year 2014. This is the third year of our partnership. We believe that this association has only grown fruitful with each passing year and I’m confident that the relationship will strengthen with time.

Q) Coming to your television segment, what new products should consumers expect in the year 2017?

A new range of state of art Curve TVs, UHD TV & Smart TVs are lined up for next year. Even the FHD TVs will have a very contemporary aesthetic.

Q) Where does Sansui as a brand is placed among the consumers?

Sansui started its India operations in year 1997 and was well accepted by customers owing to its ground breaking Japanese technology. Today Sansui prides itself in being a house-hold consumer electronics brand in the country. Sansui is the leading Japanese consumer electronics brand in India, with a reputation for new age technology and excellent after sales service. Sansui has also marked its presence across all major towns and cities.

Q) Do you think demonetization will affect Sansui sales in anyway?

December is better than November and I feel with time market will get into its groove. Yes as of now market is a trifle slow. We look forward to a stable situation with rising awareness about online payment and envisage it to improve in the coming quarter. And once the liquidity crunch eases, we are hopeful to see a recovery.

Q) What are your plans and programs for the year 2017?

We have plans to further expand and strengthen our portfolio by adding newer models in our premium televisions category. The idea is to have innovative and technologically advanced products available to our patrons at the most exceptional price points.
