Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai opens 8th Jagran Film Festival

India’s BIG Travelling Film Festival, the Jagran Film Festival that toured 16 cities, today, began its seven-days journey in the cinematic capital city of India, Mumbai. The festival began on a high note with a huge crowd presence bringing applaud to the whole cinematic affair and its décor. The filmi action on the first day included a screening of the famous 1980 Bollywood flick – Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai.

Mr. Manoj Srivastava, Strategic Consultant, Jagran Film Festival, Mr. Vinod Srivastava, Sr. General Manager, Strategy and Brand Development – Jagran Prakashan Ltd., Director Soumitra Ranade, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyun Aata Hai?,  Actor, Manav Kaul and Deep Thakkar – CSA Maharashtra, DS Group commenced the opening of 8th Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by screening of the opening film.

And, that is not all. The prime objective of this film festival is to highlight the work of renowned cultural artists, in and outside India, both. The screening of the German movie, Purple Horizons, proved to be a roaring affair at the event, where people familiar with the language were seen appreciating the variety of movie flair on offer.

The Festival began on 1st July 2017 in Delhi, touring the length and breadth of the country to bond with people from all walks of life, in the world of cinema. Currently, in its last leg of cultural amalgamation, the Jagran Film Festival will conclude its magnifying journey in Cinepolis, Andheri. Over 130 screenings will take place showcasing a stellar a line-up of films from across the world.  Some of the prominent sections of the Festival are World Panorama, Indian Showcase, Jagran Shorts, Jagran Discovery, Country Focus and the Retrospective of films.

The 2017 edition of Jagran Film Festival has traversed from Delhi to the Indian hinterlands of Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna, Dehradun, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Hisar, Ludhiana, Meerut, Raipur, and will now culminate in Mumbai.

This years will hold ‘Knowledge Series’ of the Festival. It is an inception of various workshop aka presentations on acting in alliance with Barry John Acting Studio. Another special segment at the Festival is ‘The Achievers’ which represents a variety of talent from different backgrounds and all walks of life who are also eminent personalities in the film industry today. Their special talent and effort are the subject of films to be showcased through ‘The Achievers’. It presents   10 biopics on sports, social and business leaders across the globe.

The Jagran will be screening World Cinemas featuring from Turkey, India, Greece, US, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Morocco, Spain, Sri Lanka, Czech and more.

Indian Cinemas will showcase movies in its various languages. More of the recent Hindi mainstream movies that will screen include Hindi Medium, Pink, The Ghazi Attack, Phillauri, Jolly LLB 2 Shivaay and biopic movies like Sachin – a billion dreams, MS Dhoni – the untold story and Neerja.

Jagran Shorts segment will feature films like Hiccups, Sonnet 88, Flow, Burn out, Ramble and much more coming from Argentia Iraq, Finalnd, Hungary, US, Hong Kong among others. Azaad, Kajal (Kohl) an Indian Debut short film and Chutney that went viral on the Indian Social Media will also be part of the Jagran Shorts from India.

The official spokesperson of the festival said,” Jagran Film Festival is proud to culminate and present to you artistic expressions from all over the world. We will be showcasing the work of storytellers in film & theater and dedicate it to their achievements in film making. Showcasing in over 16 cities in India, our last leg will be held in Mumbai – a city of movies itself and we look forward to reaching to all the film admirers at our festival.”
