Over three episodes, Treasures of the Indus explores the story of the Indian sub-continent through the treasures of three very different people, places and dynasties that have shaped modern India.

From the plains of Pakistan to the foothills of the Himalayas, and from northern India and Rajasthan to Tamil Nadu in the south, Dr Sona Datta explores this vast melting pot of diverse civilisations, religions, cultures and glorious landscapes that has given us some of the greatest artistic golden ages on earth.

Treasures of the Indus episode two to be scheduled on BBC World News on Sat 15th  July at 01:40 PM, Sun 16th July at 01:40 AM, 6.40 AM, 7.40 PM
